Why is it so hard to get Instagram verification? ›

Just because you have a blue checkmark on Twitter or Facebook, for instance, doesn't guarantee you'll get one on Instagram. Instagram is blunt, saying that “Only some public figures, celebrities, and brands have verified badges on Instagram.” In other words: “only accounts with a high likelihood of being impersonated.”

Only one account per person or business may be verified, with exceptions for language-specific accounts. We don't verify general interest accounts (example: @puppymemes). Complete: Your account must be public and have a bio, profile photo and be active when you apply.

One of the key requirements for getting verified on Instagram is to be well-known and highly-searched for. This means you need to be more active on the PR front and try to get your name out there organically. For example, you might want to publish press releases for upcoming company announcements or product launches.

You may think that artificially increasing your followers, may help you get Instagram verification, however, this isn't the case. Generally the followers you'll get by paying will be bots.

Start the process of getting your Instagram account verified
